LMM Blues Brothers
LMM BLUES BROTHERS is a show not to be missed! Much more than just a tribute show, The boys make sure each and every performance is different, in order to personalise each show and tailor it to your requirements!
This Show started life in 2002 under the working title of "The 21st Century Blues Brothers". It was formed by two good friends, Dave Wiggins and Colin Smith. Dave had the idea whilst working abroad in Tenerife between 1999 and 2001, and watching other tribute acts.
Dave says, " I saw many tribute acts and impersonators working the cabaret circuit in parts of Spain and the Spanish islands, around the time of the Millenium. They were ok, very entertaining, but many of them appeared to be somewhat unpolished. I thought for a long time that I could put together a really professional show, incorporating all of the music from both "Blues Brothers" movies, adding spontaneous comedy, choreographed dance routines, audience participation and occasionally even a touch of fire-eating for good measure! That's exactly what I acheived, but far from sit back and be happy with the end result, I strive to make this show the best it possibly can be, therefore we are constantly working on new material, new routines and comedy to make each performance better than the last."
In 2009 Colin left the band due to personal circumstances. He and Dave remain really good friends, but it left Dave looking for a new Elwood; a tough role to fill to say the least! Once an 'Elwood' had been found, it was time to give the show an overhaul, or a 'facelift'; therefore Dave decided to re-name the show, and to re-work the entire format to make it fresh for himself, as well as his new addition, James Proctor.
This award-winning show has been in operation for eight years, and and the boys have performed all over the UK and across Europe. 2010 holds engagements for the band at Scotland's prestigious Highland Games (as headliners) as well as performances in Dusseldorf, Germany, and even MALAWI, AFRICA!
This act is best suited to private parties, weddings, corporate events and similar occassions, but is versatile enough to adapt to most venues, indoor or outdoor!
The boys perform primarily as a duo, with the focus being solely on Jake and Elwood, although they can also quote to be accompanied by a full band if you wish.
The act is fully self-contained and their equipment includes a PA system (between 1kw and 10kw) and a full lighting rig. The show can be performed as either a single 90 minute show, 2 x 45 minute sets, or a 1 hour 'greatest hits' show. The boys can also quote to include the supply of 'disco' style music after the performance if your event requires it; often saving you the need to book a DJ separately.

Here are just a few of the many quotes, testimonials and reviews we have received from happy clients since we started the show back in 2002!
"The LMM Blues Brothers Revue were outstanding, they made our event such a memorable and enjoyable one. Thank you both! You will definitely be back 'by popular demand'!!"
Mark and Louise Smith, The George, Spaldwick (Bank Holiday BBQ August 2007) Note from The Band - We are pleased to have been booked back to perform at The George every August since 2007!
"I was absolutely delighted at the way the Blues Brothers evening went. The music and entertainment was fantastic and everyone complimented me on it. They all had a brilliant time. It also attracted lots of people so we made a really good sum of money for my charity. I was amazed at your cartwheels- very energetic even after the fish and chips- real John Belushi stuff."
Mrs Gill Mercer - Mayor of Rushden
"Walking into a reasonably small town centre pub in a reasonably small market town you could be forgiven for thinking that if they have live music on, is not going to be the greatest. We should know as we play there ourselves! Walking through the door your attention is drawn to a large crowd all gathered facing the corner wide eyed and wide smiles. The sound is familiar, the beat is captivating and the view is surprising. THE BLUES BROTHERS. Ok I've seen tribute acts before, some are good, some aren't so good. But before I have the chance to go into the usual mental review that musicians and performers give each other (ooh he missed those words, that was out of tune, didn't like that etc...) I am captivated by the energy, hypnotised and standing wide eyed with a wide smile, zombiefied with all the other happy zombies, bodies pulsating to the beat.
It's not long before you realise that these guys are awesome!
Technically fantastic, well sung, great sounding backing tracks, they look the part and they have become Jake and Elwood. Ok, let's face it, the Blues Brothers are a particularly popular act to cover. Most people know the songs, the film and the characters and it is the perfect upbeat fun for that night out when you quite simply want to have fun. But because it's so well known it is also easy to be a disappointment as people can expect as good as the original. The 21st Century Blues Brothers are so far from disappointment it would be impossible to put into words. And the faces of the crowd were testament to that. They had such a small space to work in but still managed to dance and strut about as if it was a huge stage and their working of the crowd was a pure joy to see. I have no doubt these guys can work any size stage... and then the FIRE EATING... well basically this Blues Brothers tribute act are pure entertainment and I find it unlikely there are many in the field that are better.
If you see them advertised go and watch them, if you are looking for an act along those lines for anything like a wedding or party or corporate event you simply must book them. Everyone will have a fantastic fun filled evening and will leave with a warm glow in their hearts.
The LMM Blues Brothers are one of the best entertainment acts you could have the pleasure to see. Thanks guys!"

"On September 9th 2006 my wife and I had the 21st Century Blues Brothers (our former title) play at our wedding. We hadn’t actually heard them play prior to booking them but we were assured by Suzanne (Agent) that they were an excellent tribute act. She wasn’t lying!! These guys meant business…they really were the real deal. Vocally fantastic, visually convincing and all round the complete package!! If you want to book an act that will ensure a whole night of live music, dancing and well spirited comedy…..these are the guys for you!!! I said to them on the night and I quote “that was some of the best money I have ever spent”. Book them NOW and enjoy."
