SGB is a vibrant young jazz group featuring the best of London's young jazz scene, including graduates from many of the UK's leading institutions of music education.

The band has a wealth of live experience within its line-up, collectively having toured the UK and Ireland, as well as gigs and tours in Europe and Australia, taking in venues including Ronnie Scott's, Jazz Cafe, The Blue Note, and many more...

Offered from a trio to quintet, the band provides everything from smooth dinner jazz to upbeat instrumental jazz and funk, catering to your needs and providing exactly what you need for every occasion.

Act Information

Line-up

The basic quartet lineup is Bass Guitar Drums and Saxophone, but can be altered to suit the clients needs.

Extra Line-up(s)

Lineups can be altered to :

Piano Trio/Guitar Trio
Quintet (quartet plus Trumpet or Pianist )

Vocal Quintet (quartet plus Female Vocalist)

Also included

The band can if necessary provide its own PA system suitable for venues up to 250 people, and if more PA equipment is required, it can be sourced and provided at an extra cost.

It also provides the highest quality of backline equipment and microphones for all events. The only request made by the band is a power supply within 5 metres of the performance area, for ease of set up and performance.

On average the band can be set up and ready to play within approximately half an hour of arrival including full soundcheck, but can be marginally quicker if needs be. Ideally approximately one hour to set up and soundcheck is preferable as it means there’s less stress, but the band will happily cater to any customers specific requirements.
