Act Profile

TRANSMISSION are an energetic four-piece party band that have been together since 2002, with both female and male lead vocals playing a very eclectic set covering all styles from the 60's right through to the most up to date of pop and rock hits!

Front girl Katie has been blowing away audiences with her stunning natural voice since she was barely old enough to be allowed into the venues! Drummer (vocals) Charley is our other vocalist and will surprise you with his wide range of songs. Guitarist Alvin and bassist Juan come from very professional musical backgrounds; each trained to a high standard and has vast experience in the music industry.
Amongst them, they have played such venues as the Jazz Café, Islington Academy, Sheppard's Bush Empire, ULU, Underworld. They have also worked with and supported some very big names in the music industry including Mark Richardson (Feeder/Skunk Annansie), Eric Bobo (Cypress Hill), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Stef Carpenter (Deftones), Paul Kodish (Pendulum/Apollo 440) and have recorded in studios such as Abbey Road, Air and Metropolis

Gave the band full marks for their set last night in the was awesome and I went home a happy bunny. Transimission rocked it!

First it was a bit difficult to get the needed info of equipment which the venue needed for their sound enigneer. Then on the day unfortunately the band arrived late.
However, they managed to get sound check done very quick and rocked the night.
All band members were very nice and the night was a great success thanks to TRANSMISSION.
Please send them a big thanks from me.

I would booked them any time again

Joanna & Andy - wedding reception - Northbrook Park, Farnham, Surrey October 2011

Hi Juan,
Just wanted to send you an e-mail to say thanks very much for making our wedding reception so memorable last Saturday! You guys were sooooo good and had everyone dancing all night. We've had loads of people asking about you and say how great the band was. Needles to say we will be recommending you highly to all our friends and family and will definitely be in touch for any future functions we have!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and we thank you and the rest of the band for contributing hugely to this.

Please keep us updated of any gigs you are doing as would be great to come and see you play again soon. Best of luck with the future success of the band and look forward to hearing you play again some time soon!

Best wishes
Joanna and Andy

Thanks for everything!!

Stephanie & Jim - wedding reception - Westhorpe Lodge Farm House, Stowmarket, Suffolk - June 2011

Hi Juan,
Thank you so much for your message. We actually only got back from honeymoon yesterday so I haven't had a chance to send you our thanks yet. You guys were FAB and the dance floor was full all night. You exceeded my expectations and were so professional that you just brought the perfect finish to a brilliant day. The first dance was a great treat and we were so grateful to you for your improvisation at short notice!
All in all we had a great day. Thanks once again to you and the rest of the band.
p.s. I hope you have a speedy recovery and I appreciate you making the effort after being so poorly, it is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Steph and Jim

Vicky & Tom - Wedding reception - The Crazy Horse, Oxon, Oxfordshire - June 2011

Sorry for the late reply. You guys totally rocked!!!! You were perfect and better than I could have hoped. Everyone was dancing and had a great time singing along (badly, including me!)
Regarding the 1st dance - we were trying to put it off for as long as poss. - and even if you played it live, I don't think it would have taken the heat off of our bad dancing!
Thanks again - I would totally recommend you guys again and use you again, but hopefully I won't be getting married again!!!
All the best
Vicky, Tom and Jack

Selina and Mark - Wedding reception - Buckinghamshire - August 2010

Guys thank you so much for playing my wedding. I have just got back from honeymoon in Italy and I had to e-mail and say a big thank you to you all! My relatives on the Greek side are still talking about the version of Zorba the Greek you did for them (luckily not too many plates got smashed!!!) and my relatives on the Jewish side are still talking about the version of Mazeltov you did for them! Ha ha! All in all it was a proper knees up and everyone was truly united by your music! Thank you!

Paul Sherman - 30th birthday party - London - October 2010

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!!!! 11/10!!!
My lot are a rowdy bunch but the band had them eating out of the palms of their hands with their varied and eclectic set, picking just the right songs at the right time!
