Act Profile

The Coupés

The Coupés front singers Paul and Helen are the driving force behind the band. Having both lead vocalists in this band allows them to cover material such as 40s/50s Doo Wop and Rock n Roll as well as classic Pop songs from the 60s, all of which have distinctive vocal harmonies. Guitarist Paul plays a kick drum and double bassist Hugo adds some tambourine to achieve an amazingly full sound from such a small band.

With Paul and Helen being a couple, the band are constantly learning new and quirky material to play. The Folk revival that is happening currently is not passing this band by either! The song choices are very varied but all very well known. Rock n Roll classics are often used in films and on adverts so there repertoire appeals to a wide audience. The music is so simple and accessible anyway, so any less familiar songs are still easy to get up and dance to!

If you are looking for a quirky band that will be remembered and enjoyed by your guests then look no further than The Coupes. They can scale up to a quartet or down to a duo to suit your needs.
