Act Profile

The Flow

Since The Flow burst on to the scene, they have fast become one of the most in-demand bands on the circuit averaging over 150 gigs per year! With their world-class musicians, stunning lead vocals and a wealth of experience in playing all manner of weddings and corporate engagements, you know you're in the safest of hands.

Their secret lies in their versatility, which makes them the perfect choice for almost any occasion. Their incredible lead singer has been wowing audiences with her impressive and versatile vocals which allow the band to pull off a huge range of songs that others might avoid. Add in great lead vocals from the rest of this talented bunch and you can't go wrong! Whether you're after a classic soul/Motown set or a contemporary rock/pop/chart set, an elegant affair or a real rock 'n' roll gig, you'll receive a perfectly crafted show with unrivalled vocals and musicianship that oozes class from every single band member.

No matter what the occasion, The Flow can supply it all. Their signature 5-piece line-up can be supplemented with a brass section on request and they also offer equally impressive duo, trio and 4-piece line-ups for smaller events. They are also an experienced Rockaoke band with their front-girl doubling as a superb comp're and have a dedicated, carefully selected song list designed specifically for that purpose.

The band's wealth of experience and talent is evident from the off and individually, band members have worked and continue to work with the likes of Sir Tom Jones, Rod Stewart, Blondie, Westlife, Katherine Jenkins, Boy George, Sugababes, Chicane and The British Philharmonic Orchestra to name but a few. Counterflow members have also graced venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, The NIA, The ICC, The Roundhouse, Old Trafford, Ricoh Arena and various West End theatres including The Aldwych, Her Majesty's and The RSC.

Internationally, band members have been invited to perform at a number of prestigious venues and events including The Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai; The Palace Hotel, Switzerland; The Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai; The Royal Orchid, Bangkok; The Grand Mezzo Hotel, Lake Como; Cannes Film Festival; Formula One Power Boats, Dubai and a residency at One and Only Reethi Rah, The Maldives.

The band are incredibly experienced in dealing with venues that have sound restrictions and noise limiters and are able to adapt accordingly. Their dedicated sound engineer ensures the smooth running of the evening and is able to monitor and control the sound without affecting the quality of the performance. The band can also use an electric drum kit should the venue/client specify this requirement.

"What can we say?! We can't recommend this band highly enough! Thank you for absolutely making our day! Everyone has been asking about you, saying how extraordinary you were and we gave out your details to so many of our friends! We knew from the start that we'd made the right choice; so professional, helpful and efficient every step of the way and the band on the evening were spectacular! Our guests (and us) were on the dancefloor from start to finish! Thanks so much for making our day even more memorable!' - Brian and Kay - Wedding, Gloucestershire, February 2014

"Wow! What an absolutely amazing band, so so pleased that we chose The Flow to play at our wedding! Amazing play list, incredible performing and atmosphere, everyone absolutely loved you and you had he whole place dancing all night which was amazing! Can't recommend you guys highly enough. We hope all our friends getting married in the future also have you as their wedding band! You also did a great acoustic set for the reception drinks that was fab as well. Thank you so much, you were a big part of the day and we loved it! Xx" Laura and Simon - Wedding, Leicestershire, October 2014

"Thank you so much for making our wedding evening better than we ever could have imagined! When we saw you playing in Covent Garden back in November, we just knew that we HAD to have you play at our wedding! You made everything so simple. You really turned the phrase 'wedding band' on its head, with no 'Brown Eyed Girl' in sight! :) We feel so lucky to have found you as I really don't think there's a band out there that could touch what you did for us! In fact, we're already thinking about having an anniversary party just so that we can book you again!" Emma and Raj - Wedding, London, May 2014

'I've been in the Army for 25 years and of all the bands they've supplied for every event over the years, I've honestly never seen a band a great as you guys! Thanks for making my retirement do one to remember!' - Regimental Sgt Major - Gibraltar Barracks, May 2014.

"I'm head of security for all the major festivals and I have to say that you were better than any of the bands I've seen on any stage! Your musicianship, energy and way you worked the crowd was second to none!" Mike, Cardiff 2014

"Hi Philip and Talia, we just wanted to drop you a quick message to say thank you for the wonderful job you and the guys did at our wedding reception. We've only just recovered and your performance was definitely the talking point of the night! Thanks also for playing our first dance so wonderfully, even on a phone recording that we watched back, you sounded great! We'll definitely come and see you all on a gig soon!. Thanks again." Louise and Marc - Wedding, Essex June 2014

"My wedding band what can I say...wow. The night was incredible, very carefully thought out set list. I thought it would be difficult to achieve an alternative theme that gets everybody up dancing and enjoying particularly at a wedding with mums, aunties, uncles and children who are already missing X factor on a Saturday night and let's face it, their taste probably does lie with that rather than Metallica and AC/DC. But everyone of all ages loved it, too often wedding entertainment turns out to be a damp squib. I'm pleased to say mine wasn't one of them. They even smiled through and continued playing when a mosh pit broke out for Song 2 by Blur, despite it being dangerously close to speakers! Of all things my wife was stressing about with the wedding preparations, this was top as it was the only thing that was entirely my responsibility. It was perfection and sure you probably pay a bit more than you do for your local s***house pub DJ. But it's worth it. Perfection, professionalism to the dot. Diverse, adaptable, fantastic rapport and a great bunch of people. A perfect close to a perfect day. Much love and thankyou, The Flow" - Jon and Sue - Wedding, Coventry, October 2014

"If you're looking for a band for a wedding or event you need Counterflow, they are incredible and we absolutely loved them at our wedding!" - Laura @theboutiqueway - Wedding, October 2014
