The Misfits

The band consist of Male lead singer/guitarist, Lead guitarist/backing vocals, Bass guitarist/ backing vocals and drummer - where appropriate they may also use live or sequenced keyboards. The proficiency of these musicians allows them to perform in a wide variety of styles including Rock, Pop, Blues, Folk, Country, and Funk.

The Misfits play across London and the UK in a variety of venues and are able to adapt their set accordingly. However, the individual musicians have vast experience of performing and recording throughout the country and into Europe and the United States. Members of the group trained at Music Colleges in London and some of their past experiences include working with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, Miles Hunt, James McCartney, Tony Christie, Pete Molinari and Beverley Stone as well as supporting Reef at the Monto Water Rats.

I'd like to thanks you for the fantastic performance you gave at our engagement party. We thought the music was brilliant and perfect for the venue and our guests. No one wanted to leave at the end of the evening. My elderly grandparents were planning on leaving early, but they stayed until the end of the night because they were enjoying the music so much. By popular demand from my colleagues at work, we’ve now used the band three times for work related functions. Two Christmas parties on the run in a local pub and London bar venue with a three piece and more recently a four piece turnout for a very grand “Black Tie” ball at the Langham in London. Every time the lads ensure that the dance floor is full and from start to finish. They sound great and play all the right sort of music to encourage people to boogie all night and have good time.

The Mistfits played at my 40th celebrations and they quite simply rocked the party!! They played great music that got everybody moving. They were very friendly and easy to deal with in the run up to the party and amenable to any particular requests we had. On the night they were great fun in addition to being good musicians and they even seemed to be having a lot of fun themselves which is a good sign!

Everybody has commented on how fantastic the band were. I'm sure they will be getting some more bookings on the back of our party!!!

It really is a wonder when you unexpectedly stumble across a real 'find' in the most surprising of places. As a visitor here in London from overseas, I have never seen a band as devoid of airs and petty vanities as The Misfits are: a covers band comprising mature members who perform a selection of classic rock and pop songs with emphasis on having fun, leaving behind the pressure of feeling a need to prove anything else!
The diversity of their set list is quite stunning and while I had expected to hear mostly older songs, I was pleasantly surprised to learn differently hearing the likes of "Sex On Fire"- a real crowd-pleaser that defies age - and which the band performed in a way that even the Followill brothers would have been proud of.
As the evening progressed I arrived at the conclusion these guys were no pretenders just looking to score with the ladies or looking for a pay check as I listened to covers of "Don't Stop Believin'", "Valerie" and "Sweet Home Alabama" in which Adrian cut all the difficult solos with the calm of a seasoned guitarist, while lead vocalist, Mark, sang his lines in way that was new to me and yet still made it easy for me to sing along to.

In the end, though, how seriously does one take a covers band?!
In my opinion, I feel the strength of any such outfit lies in their ability to get you on your feet and make you feel that you are seeing the real thing. The Misfits did this for me and got top marks! I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd, Oasis, The Killers, Tom Petty, Journey, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol and the Stereophonics all for the price of a beer and yes, I had a few beers that night, but it was the music that got me high!

An awesome Christmas Party to end the year was made even more memorable by having The Misfits as part of our celebration for the second time.
The band arrived on time, they set up quickly and played two sets over the evening (total of 2, 5 hours). Very reliable for every occasion.
They also provided music for the interval which kept the party going. Catering to all musical tastes and very approachable when asked for requests.
They were able to make sure that the dance floor was never empty.
Very professional and polished act.
We appreciate them coming all the way to Bristol from London.

Limbs & Things Christmas Party 2012

The Misfits played at our wedding and they were outstanding. If you want a great party then they're definitely worth booking, the dance floor was filled from beginning to end. Not only do they play a broad range of great songs that everyone knows and can sing along to, they play them very well.
We had seen the band numerous times before our wedding so we knew they were consistently great, we've also seen them many times since.
They were at the venue in plenty of time, they were very discreet when setting up and they were ready to start on cue. They also provide music for their interval which keeps the party going.

The Misfits were MAGNIFICENT!!!! It was an absolutely perfect evening, and in mine and Johnathan's opinion, it was the band that made the wedding! (Apart from the actual ceremony obviously). Their music was great, appropriate and much enjoyed by all the guests......Thanks for a fab evening.
