Act Profile

ThisGuy ThatGirl PartyDuo

Chris Priest, lead and harmony vocalist and Guitarist:
Chris started singing at an age where he had to remove a dummy to do so. In his teens he won national singing competitions and started gigging professionally. This was when Chris felt he wanted to push his musical abilities further and started drumming, playing piano and guitar (not all at the same time although I am sure he would have a try). This was all made easier with access to his father's recording studio at home. This also sparked his interest in writing, producing and engineering music. Chris comes from a long family line of musicians, his father being his role model. Chris has played in three original music bands, then moved on to play in a covers duo with his father, and on his retirement he formed wedding duo Me & Him.
In July 2017 Chris met and quickly teamed up with Beverley Jane to form Cabaret Duo.

Beverley Jane, Lead and Harmony Vocalist:
There was never a doubt that Beverley Jane would become a performer.
At the first opportunity she was staring in local theatres and London function bands, performing at prestigious hotels such as the Langham Hilton, and the Dorchester hotel.
Beverley was lucky enough to get started, at a very young age, guest MC'ing in major London clubs such as The Ministry of Sound.

It was in London that Beverley met DJ Sammy. For 8 years she worked alongside Sammy as his vocalist NYAH, in 2007 they recorded the incredibly moving R.E.M remake Everybody Hurts, and wrote recorded and produced Feel the love. They immediately started touring together, and Nyah became DJ Sammy's official singer, performing all his hit tracks, Heaven, Boys of Summer, Why, Sunlight, and of course Everybody hurts. The tours were global including residencies in BCM, Privilege, and Es Paradise.
2010 Sammy and Beverley collaborated with Jean Baptist (writer for the Black Eyed Peas) on the tracks Animal, and Look for Love.

Beverley Jane has also enjoyed a solo career as, German pin up artist, Miss Kookie.
Her debut single was, the Fred Astair classic, Puttin on the Ritz released by Universal Germany.
Her solo Album Kookies and Kream was released in 2012, a fun album that merges effortlessly the classic styles of the 20-30-40-50 & 60's in a fresh new style!

Chris and Beverley Jane formed the duo in July 2018, they have been popular in the Hertfordshire and Essex area performing in various restaurants, pubs and local venues.
Their style is young, fresh and fun. The combination of their voices is a match made in heaven. From beautiful love songs to up tempo rock and pop, whether it's to help create a romantic, touching moment or getting you on your feet, theres nothing this duo can't do.
Their repertoire is varied and appeals to all audiences. They set the mood you want.
