Waxx Lyrical

Waxx have been performing together for over 15 years around the UK and Europe. They exist as a band for the love of live music and entertaining any crowd.

They began their career playing the ski resorts in France and built a loyal following in the French Alps for their energetic performances.

With some of the best and biggest songs ever written in their set the band will never fail to fill the dance floor and keep it full.

We love to play everything from The Beatles to the Britney with a slice of Guns n Roses.

Our approach to music is this : we love to play it and we love a crowd to enjoy it.

There are four of us in the band which keeps it simple but never lacking.

The band always receive rave reviews from every show.

We try and be as helpful as we can especially for special occasions, where we can learn that special song for you for a first dance or just a favourite boogie.

Our PA and Light Rig is suitable for venues of up to 150 people. We do have access to to further equipment when required.

Hi Rick and all the gang,
Just wanted to let you know, Scott (from 'WAX' ) after contacting me on the Friday,came to the venue on Saturday 6pm as arranged set up and played two fabulous sets. The guests have all raved about how brill the band were as they performed a list of get up and boogie covers.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for playing at our wedding on the 5th November. You were absolutely fantastic - many of our guests remarked at how brilliant you were and I myself had such a great time dancing to your tunes that I realised the next day that i'd totally neglected my bridal duties of going and chatting to our guests! haha and oops- but a sign of how fab you were! I also really enjoyed meeting you all in person- all the way through our contact you have been friendly and helpful, you really did make our day a day to remember.

My husband and I really don't think we could have found a better, more suited,talented or fun band than yourselves and we will definitely be recommending you to anyone and everyone.

Many thanks to the band for a great set at my birthday party last weekend.
From the second they started they filled the floor thanks to a varied repertoire very well played and sang. Everyone has raved about them since. Cheers guys - you rock!

In a word - brilliant. Booked at late notice for our wedding, they arrived at the time asked and were discreet before their set. Knew how to play to the crowd with some great wedding classics but also a lot of "less traditional" wedding music which we loved. Got my wife up on stage for some karaoke which was amazing and was the cherry on the icing on a cake of excellence. Thanks for making the night as amazing as it was.

Many, many thanks to Wax Lyrical for their performance at our recent Wedding Party. The band worked with us before the show to put together a setlist that we and our guests thoroughly enjoyed, and even learned a specifically-requested song for the bride... :)

The communication was great throughout the build-up to the show and the show itself was superb. All our guests were very impressed. The guys were also friendly off-stage and got involved with the other aspects of our party.

For the price they charge compared to similar acts, you'd be very lucky to find a better value wedding/party band. Thanks again! :)

Wax Lyrical recently played at our wedding. Everyone commented on how good they were and how much fun they had at our evening reception!

The guys were professional and friendly, even bringing me up to the stage to sing along at one point (I couldn't remember the words though!).

I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Wax recently played at our 40th birthday party. Could not recommend them highly enough...great bunch of lads, fantastic set list and every guest (bar none) we've spoken to since has commented they were the highlight of the night. Wouldn't even think of looking elsewhere, were we to need a band for any future event. Can't thank them enough.

Just wanted to send my thanks to you all for making my 40th birthday party a night to remember. Everyone had such a great night. I have had so many positive comments from my friends and family about your set. I loved joining you on stage although I can only apologise for my singing (if you can call it that! All I can say is top band. They had our wedding absolutely rocking- my favourite moment of the whole day was turning looking at the dance floor whilst they played 'Sex On Fire' and seeing all our guests jumping around going mental- including my parents which says something!
On top of that, they are a superb bunch of lads- I can't thank them enough.

The highlight of the evening was their rendition of "Me and Mrs Jones", which they learned especially for the occasion. A very difficult song to learn, I might add, but awesomely performed.
Wax arrived on cue and played a blistering set with a break for everyone to catch their breath.
Their music ranged from soulful ballads to jaw dropping guitar rock, and there was music to cater for all tastes.
So many people at the party commented on the professionalism of the band, and their fantastic, eclectic mix of music. "

"I booked Waxx for my wedding reception because I had seen them perform before and was very impressed with their set.
The band were great to work with when planning the event and gave us all the information we needed about how much space / power sockets ect. they needed. They were even good enough to learn a new song for us for our first dance.

The band were very punctual and stuck to the timings we asked for but were also flexible working with the schedule on the day. They also arrived at the venue early to get their equipment set up before the guests arrived.
The band played a great set and were brilliant at encouraging the guests on to the dance floor.
They played a wide range of rocky tunes from the old classics like 'Living on a Prayer' to much more recent hits. The best bit of the night was definitely when they got a couple of the guest up on to the stage to sing '500 Miles' with them which was very funny!
Overall the band are fantastic entertainers with effortless talent and a genuine enthusiasm for what they do. They are are able to play all the classic and modern tracks that you would expect from a covers band in a way that is both authentic to the original whilst adding their own unique style and energy.
