BandeMcoKie Karaoke Band
The concept of Kie Band was to *bridge the gap between karaoke and singing as part of a live covers band. (*the 'bridge' being less golden gate and more a small shaky rope one or a "Bridge over troubled warblers" if you like�.
Karaoke arrived much to the horror of music industry (and musicians alike) and refused to go away.
Relentlessly giving everyone who's not anyone a chance to sing-even if ...they were the only ones who actually thought they could. Everyone was a legend in their own mind
Then, just as we thought it was safe to sneak into the local pub for a quiet half, worse was to come. The arrival of the TV talent/singing shows
These are, let's face it, a platform for all those karaoke singers chance to be famous while all they are doing is singing cover versions on TV with a (real) backing band.
Realising that such minimal aspiration had such mass appeal; it was clear there was a gap in the market
Famously described as "The exploitation of the talentless by the mindless" a statement which fitted snugly into the 'punk ethic' I (shamelessly) thought, I'll have some of that.
So, with a high standard of musicianship and the onus on having fun, decided to offer Karaoke with a live band. Kie Band was born.
We can't provide a panel of unqualified 'experts' within our show to 'judge your performance with however, or treat those who get up to sing with contempt, however What we do offer is a warm welcoming stage, tight band, lots of help if you need it for your song, a laugh, and a platform for your big moment.
With Kie Band, there is no need to cue for hours on end, left hungry in an n overcrowded room with a number round your neck.
Just turn up Pick a song, drink as much or as little as you like beforehand, swallow your pride and come on-stage to sing. Christian Slater has joined us, as has Ricky Kaiser Chief too. We also performed at Keifer Sutherland's daughter's wedding as the evening entertainment. That's plenty name-dropping!
Kie Band are available as a 4-piece full live band (Guitar, Bass, Drums and Keyboards-all with backing vocals). This line-up can be altered to suit your event.

Extra Costs
The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.
Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.
(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)
Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.
Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 6pm and to be finished around midnight.
(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
