Beat Latino
Beat Latino are Leon - Vocals/Rhythm Guitar, Diego - Lead Guitar, Danny - Bass and Nick - Drums.
All members have an illustrious past working in the music industry. Leon fronted Mid '90's major act 'Northern Uproar,' performing on Top of the Pops, TFI Friday and touring the world as Paul Weller's support amongst others.
The band were dropped unceremoniously at which point Leon returned to his roots in rural Barcelona learning the flamenco craft and singing traditional Spanish folk songs.
Diego is a fully fledged latino player having been born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Coming from a musical family that entertained the hilltop villages and towns while he grew up, Diego is now about to complete a musical degree in Manchester which he fits around his busy teaching schedule and touring obligations.
Danny also divides his time between educating and being educated and is also about to complete a degree in popular music and recording/production.
Nick started touring at 18 performing over 1000 live dates over a five year period before going into the commercial studio business in Manchester city centre. As a session drummer he has appeared on tour with Jimmy Cliff and Lady Smith Black Mambazo amongst others at venues like Shepherds Bush Empire and Glastonbury.

Yes good bunch of guys, relaxed and assured professionals. I had a number of people in passing saying how good the band were.
Sometimes you feel with bands and Djs that there is a panic in them to blow the lid off within the first few tracks.
But the whole feel made people very at ease and ensured a good dance floor throughout most of their performance.

Beat Latino played at our wedding in Kent on the 31st August, and we are so glad we booked them. They really helped to get the party started and many of our guests have commented on how wonderful it was to have a live band as part of the entertainment, and how fantastic Beat Latino were. I don't think there was anyone that didn't get up & have a dance to them, including my 91 year old grandmother! The guys were punctual, professional & presentable, and Leon was very helpful, even phoning me the week before the booking to finalise arrangements & go over details with me. A great service from LMM - would recommend.

Latino rhythms are easy for anyone to dance to.
All tracks are easily recognised to sing along to.
For bigger shows we can bring in a brass section and/or percussion.
