Ceilihouse
The band has been together for 3 years. We play primarily traditional irish music with a line up of fiddle, flute, melodeon,guitar , + other acoustic instruments + vocals + sean nos (old style irish dance). We do play some Bretton & Scots music & sings folk songs from the UK, Ireland & Scotland.
We can play the well know Irish pub type songs in addition but they are not part of our regular repertoire.
On Sunday Feb 14 2016 they featured on BBC Radio Lancashire Folk Show, The Drift, playing live. The band played live on the BBC Leeds folk show on Sun 5th March 2017.

Chris - fiddle, octave mandola, vocal
Steve - acoustic guitar, tenor gtr, mandolin, bodhran, vocal
Paddy - melodeon, vocals, sean nos dance
Tom - flute, whistles
Barry - sound & caller for ceilis

We occasionally add double bass but would charge more to cover that.
Also included
We have excellent PA gear with a Bose 802 speaker system, digital desk etc.
We donot normally use any lighting system, but do have some minimal lighting available if it were needed. Barry our soundman/caller also does PA hire etc so has a huge array of gear available.
Location
north-wast based and will travel to these areas: Midlands, North East, north-wast.
Previous Clients
I have been in bands for many decades, done all manner of gigs, but just briefly I have perfromed for Princess Anne at the Grovenor Park hotel in London. Roisin Ban have done dozens of high profile folk festivals. I also play in another band with Mike Harding, of BBC fame.

Repertoire
All our normal repertoire is trad. or self-penned. eg songs Tippin up to Nancy, Franklin etc , many sets of jigs/reels etc.
If required for the well know irish pub type songs, we do most of the standards ie Wild Rover, Whisky In The Jar, Galway Shawl, but this needs to be specified in advance.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.
(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)
Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.
Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 6pm and to be finished around midnight.
(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
