Clive and Louise

Clive & Louise have been playing guitar together for over 20 years. They are an experienced and qualified guitar duo who offer a varied repertoire to suit all tastes for background music at functions or concert recitals. Individual requirements are always considered with the appropriate notice.

Clive took up guitar at an early age and was self taught until entering music college in 1981.
He went on to graduate from the City of Leeds College of Music in 1984.
Louise learnt the guitar near her family home in Bromley Kent with Norman Vaux.
She was a member of the Bromley Guitar Quartet with Norman, but since 1989 has concentrated on her duet partnership with Clive playing in a variety of venues and on a number of different types of occasions. Clive & Louise met for the first time at the Horncastle Summer School for Classical Guitar in Lincolnshire in 1987, run by the well known teacher and writer on guitar Graham Wade. They started life together as duet partners and eventually married in 1989.

This classically trained and highly experienced guitar duo are available to provide quality background music for weddings and other private functions including corporate events. Programs are
always tailored to suit individual tastes and requirements.

Clive & Louise both welcome requests and these are included whenever possible, sometimes at very short notice and occasionally even 'on the day! A personal input is encouraged from all our clients. References can also be supplied on request.

In addition Clive offers a solo guitar repertoire that features a wide range of well known classical and popular guitar favourites. He plays in a variety of styles ranging from popular classical pieces to well known classics from the folk and popular repertoire.
He can provide a varied mixture of background music which is always tailored to accommodate specific individual needs and tastes. Clive's performance features the the contrasting sound of both the classical and steel strung acoustic guitar which creates a unique and individual style of music for you and your guests to enjoy.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

(If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.

Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 6pm and to be finished around midnight.

(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
