Female Mariachi Band

Formed in London in 2013 this unique band was born out of the desire to shatter stereotypes within this traditionally male-dominated genre.

A 4-7- piece band originally from Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, and the U.K they are the only female Mariachi band in Europe.

In July 2018, they played at the Women's Mariachi Festival in L.A, California where they shared the stage with twice Grammy award-winning Mariachi Divas, received a standing ovation, and were interviewed and played live on both Univision and Telemundo TV channels, as well as featured in countless publications such as El Diario New York, WAPA the Spanish beauty magazine, EFE, ADN40 Mexico, El Plural.com, El Milenio- Mexico, El Confidencial- Spain, La Opinion- Los Angeles.

Other past clients/ venues include the Mexican & U.S Embassies in London, the British Museum, the Victoria & Albert museum, IKEA, Disney, the British Library, the Camden Roundhouse.

They serenaded Salma Hayek at her private birthday celebration in London in September 2019 and have also played for pop star Sophie Ellis Bextor.
They played for the opening of the Arcade Fire concerts in London’s Earls Court.

Each member is a fantastic instrumentalist, and there are no less than three lead vocalists, all with the vocal power and clarity expected from any serious mariachi band.

The Mariachi classics are included in their repertoire, plus beautiful arrangements of well-known songs including classics in English arranged in an authentic mariachi style, which makes the band unique and versatile.

Their outfits and instruments are sourced from Mexico.

Instruments in the band are Guitar, Vihuela (small Mexican percussive guitar, Guitarron (a very large Mexican bass guitar, played in octaves to double the volume of the sound), trumpets and violins.

They can travel anywhere and are very happy to learn any favourite song for a special occasion.
You can happily hire them completely acoustically or they can also provide amplification if needed.

CASA FESTIVAL

Las Adelitas played at my wife and I's wedding in Liverpool this summer, and they were incredible! My family comes from Mexico and many of them were flying into the UK for our wedding, so it was important for me to include some of my culture at our wedding reception with an AUTHENTIC mariachi, and Las Adelitas were just that. When my wife and I walked into our wedding reception we entered in to one of my favorite tunes and I will never forget it. It was really cool to have a mix up of our guests having an afternoon tea while listening to a great mariachi. All of our guests said that their performance was a highlight of the day and everyone was smiling when they walked in. A massive thank you to all the ladies for making the trek up to Liverpool and making our day so special. We will always remember it. :)

We went to see Mariachi Las Adelitas in Hastings after watching one Youtube video and they blew me (and everyone that saw them) away!! We followed them to three venues (in favour of other bands we'd gone to see) as the experience was too good to miss out on. The costumes, the charming introductions and the joie de vivre of their performances were all first class as were there choice of songs. I can't recommend them enough (even if you have no knowledge or interest in Mariachi) as they are the most refreshing and enjoyable band I have seen in some time. Can't wait to see them again.
