Floodgate

With 10 years in business and having performed at over 500 events, Floodgate is an electrifying, interactive band available to hire for every imaginable event. We take pride in our ability to turn any party, large or small, into an unforgettable, unique affair.

Our talented, professional personnel have toured & worked with All Saints, Clean Bandit, Enrique Iglesias, Girls Aloud, Jennifer Lopez, Jessie J, Katherine Jenkins, Lana Del Rey, Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue, Mary J Blige, Michael Kiwanuka, Muse, Professor Green, Rod Stewart, The Brand New Heavies, The Foundations & The Human League.

Our experience and versatility allows us to carefully tailor our sets to your crowd and our approach of combining fantastic music with flamboyant and dynamic showmanship is what gives us our reputation. We can create a bespoke line-up, perfect for your event, from our standard 5 piece, right up to a luxury 16 piece including horns and multiple vocalists.

Floodgate can also provide quality DJs, Jazz trios, and acoustic duos for more intimate moments.

Floodgate have a large repertoire of songs ranging from Pop, Soul & Rock to Funk, Disco & Motown.

Floodgate can expand to include a horn section and/or keyboards and/or extra vocalists.
Also able to provide jazz trio or jazz quartet for background music during dinner/reception.

Also included

Floodgate will supply the PA & speaker system a 2.6 Kw front of house system that can expand up to 4.6Kw sufficient for venues of up to 800 people, as well as lighting motion lights, stage lighting & smoke if required.
2 x Icolour 4 DMX/(sound to light) stage lights - (each is 4 x 500W halogen colour wash stage lights)
2 x 250W ACME DMX/(sound to light) Moving Heads
(+ possible expanded with 4 x fixed 500W Frenels with different gels)
Yes we could bring in more lighting, potentially put up some trussing with some more scanners, dance floor lighting etc.

Or, we could bring in a lighting engineer with a desk and provide a light show. We'd need to look into what we could get with whatever budget was available.

Location

South East based and will travel to these areas: South East, South West, Midlands, North West, Wales, Ireland.

Floodgate played at our wedding on 21st September and were completely brilliant. Everyone has said so. The dance floor was full all night and the band involved people, which kept the crowd amused. We could not have been happier with Floodgate and recommend them wholeheartedly - our guests were around the 28-year-old mark mainly, but the oldies also enjoyed them as they play such a range of classics.
