Fronted by the dynamic and sultry Sabrina, Funktion features four of the best musicians on the current live circuit.
Their collective experience as professional musicians is astonishing.

Sabrina has been singing and performing from the age of 5. She began as a Ballroom and Latin dancer but quickly found that singing was her true calling. Sabrina has and continues to work with several bands of varying styles and has been a very successful private vocal tutor, session singer and songwriter. Sabrina also plays Piano, Guitar, Bass and Drums.
She has performed in prestigious venues across the country including, The Royal Albert Hall, Theatre Royal and The London Palladium.
Sabrina is also a graduate of performing arts and contemporary popular music Tech Music School in West London

London born guitarist, Ben, grew up around music and musicians, as his Dad was a session drummer at Abbey Road Studios.
Since taking up the guitar at the age of 12, he has grown up to become a published songwriter and session player with several album credits to his name, and has worked extensively across Europe and the USA, playing everywhere from restaurants and dive bars, to mental institutions and performance halls.

Cheeky Glaswegian drummer, Marc, is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College Of Music in Boston, USA.
After being awarded a full scholarship when he was 16 he went on to study at Leeds College, where he received his BA (hons) Jazz Studies.
Although his roots are in Jazz and Modern Pop, he has vast experience playing with Indian Ensembles, Metal Bands, Cruise Ship Lounge Acts and has even done a stint in the Danish Circus.
Marc has also recently been recognized as the most popular drum tutor in the UK.

Funktion made a brilliant day unforgettable. In the run up to our wedding things were pretty hectic and we left it to them to decide what to play. Thankfully they are very good at communicating over email so this meant we could relax about the evening entertainment at least.

Without doubt, they know what they are doing. They did many things beyond the call of duty. They were flexible when we didn't keep to schedule. They jammed with my uncle Nick in the second set. The singer even came onto the dance floor when she wasn't singing. It was clear that they were having a lot of fun which just added to the atmosphere.

So many of our guests told us how amazing the band was and how much fun they had dancing. Our friends will be talking about Funktion for years to come.

If you book this band you will not be disappointed.

We were in two minds whether to have a band for the evening as we’d been to so many wedding where the band take centre stage Funktion we’re fantastic; they nailed the atmosphere; the floor was always packed with dancers rather than ‘band viewers’ which is what we wanted on the day.

They made the best day of our lives even better. They were extremely well priced and we had so many of our friends say how fantastic they were.

Funktion’ provided excellent music for our London 2012 Olympic Games British Canoe Union & International Canoe Federation Slalom party at Waltham Abbey Town Hall in August 2012.

Relaxed, casual mood music greeted us at reception, with a fan fair for our awards ceremony, and a mix of classic rock and contemporary pop for the evening disco.

The band played the flexible music we wanted and helped create a great night’s entertainment for all that attended.

We would certainly recommend them and use them again. Dont’ hesitate to book them!!

My fiancee only gave me one job to take care of for our wedding - "sort out a band". Thank god I contacted these guys, as they gave us everything we wanted for our wedding day and then some. They played classy, instrumental, atmospheric background music in the afternoon while we had our dinner and then turned it up for the evening do, playing all the Rock/Pop classics we had requested. The musicians and their sound team were extremely approachable and totally professional throughout, and lets not forget these guys can seriously play. They were quite simply the best function band I have ever seen, by a country mile, and if the amount of compliments we received from our guests afterwards is anything to go by, 130 other people agreed with us. I saw these guys performing at my sons wedding and I was so impressed that I just had to have them play at my birthday party.
They were so professional and played all the Motown requests that I wanted. I thought it was such a great idea that the band gave me the option to pick my own songs. I can’t recommend them highly enough and everyone that came to my party loved them just as much as I did.
