Groovetunes

Groovetunes are one of the busiest and truly most gifted 4 piece bands in the UK, regularly performing at major corporate events and are favourites for weddings and parties.

Groovetunes was formed in 2004 with the band members C.V's reading like an issue of OK magazine, Groovetunes professional musicians are always in great demand working extensively in the music industry as top session players working with many famous artists such as:

Take That, Rod Stewart, Dolly Parton,Mick Jagger, Vanessa Mae, Lisa Stansfiled, Michael Ball, DJ Artful Dodger, Vula (Basement Jax), Tom Jones, Curtis Stigers, Keith Emerson of ELP, Then Jerico, INXS, Saint Etienne, The Yards, Kym Marsh, Belinda Carlisle, James Carrington, Shirley Bassey, Freddie Star, Gabrielle, The Buddy Holly Show, Simply Red, Zoot Money, Gary Wilmot, Ms Dynamite, Sugababes.... to name but a few!

Groovetunes have an extensive repertoire, which we add to regularly, consisting of great classic tunes right up to today's chart hits all performed 100% live.

Line-up

female lead vocalist Lyla, Darren on drums, PJ on bass and Andy on lead guitar with a GR33 synth. The 3 musicians also perform the BV's

The 4 piece band can expand to a 9 piece with added Keyboards, female vocals and brass section, we can also perform an early dinner set.

Hi Sue,
Following a search for a quality band for our wedding we booked Groovetunes.

After hearing Groovetunes we believed they should be good but nothing could have prepaid us for the great evening they delivered.

The band not only learnt our "First Dance" song and performed it perfectly they also proved to be the perfect band for a great wedding party. They involved the guests in singing songs such as Mustang Sally and ensured that the dance floor was always full. Every single guest has commented on how fantastic the band was and that they made the night.

I have no hesitation in recommending Groovetunes for a wedding or party evening they are amazingl. They delivered the perfect mix of well known all time classics and sing along songs through the evening. Many thanks for helping making our day so special.

Groovetunes - absolutely marvellous!! So many people have said that they have never been to a wedding where the dance floor has been packed - from the first dance to the last!! So much variety and it was just so amazing!! I know we didn't stop dancing all night !!

We also appreciated the band letting people take over - Stuart on the drums, followed by my Dad and Andrew's best man Jason singing. It really was appreciated - my Dad had been learning to play the drums for over 4 years now and that was his first time in front of an audience - he loved it!!

I'd like to thank you again for all of your efforts, the day ran really smoothly and we were so pleased with the artists you provided. Please pass our sincere thanks to all of them and we know where to come if we need anyone else!! We'd definitely recommend you to our friends and family.
