Gypskazzy
Gypskazzy are a collective of extra-ordinary and experienced musicians from all over the world that have come together in London. They have an unique sound that combines the traditions of gypsy jazz with London beat and second and third wave Ska and other world traditions.
The band cover a wide range of tunes from the early 1900's right up to the present day, such as the 'Pink Panther; by Henry Mancini and 'Bad' by Michael Jackson and Lithium by Nirvana and Lazy Day by Bruno Mars. They also perform Jazz numbers such as Nat King Cole's 'Nature Boy' made famous by David Bowie in Moulin Rouge and 'From Russia with Love's a James Bond classic. The Londinos also perform their own original material.
Gypskazzy are fun, refreshing, sophisticated and talented. We will guaranteed any event a perfect day or evening of music and entertainment that will spoil the ears of those who just like to listen and lift the spirits of those who like to get up and dance.
The band enhances it sound with percussion and at the end of our set we will breakdown into a percussive cacophony of sound that also allows the DJ to merge into the live music for a seamless mix.
Played at the London Live Olympics 2012 concert in Trafalgar Square, Richmix in Shoreditch as part of the Incloodu Festival and the Ealing Jazz Festival , where they headlined on the South Stage.
