Irish Ways
We've been playing together over ten years now. Our set is predominantly Irish, with a little Bluegrass and Country thrown in.
MAT WALKLATE (harmonica, flute, uilleann pipes, vocals)
Mat is an accomplished harmonica and flute player who is as much at home playing Irish traditional music as he is the blues. (He won the British Blues Harmonica Championship when he was only twenty-one.) As well as being a master of the harmonica, he is also a fine singer an uilleann piper.
MATT FAHEY (guitar, vocals)
Matt Fahey is a superb singer, and has been a stalwart of the British folk scene for many years. He is a skilled, dynamic guitar player, equally adept at accompanying vocals and instrumental music. Along with Mat Walklate, he has played at festivals and on tour all over Europe.
JONNY HULME (five-string banjo, vocals)
Jonny is arguably the best bluegrass banjo player in the UK, whose effective and complementary melodic arrangements reveal his roots in both Irish traditional and bluegrass music. He has been a professional musician for the past ten years, and in that time has played with many of the best folk musicians around. His vibrant, hard-hitting style is an essential part of the House Devils' unique sound.
LASZLO PALKO (percussion)
Laszlo has been passionate about percussion since he was thirteen years old. He has become an expert player of the bodhran and cajon, as well as a host of other instruments. A professional teacher for the past seventeen years, he is able to play in almost any style or genre.

St Patricks Ceilidh were great! They are talented players, and all of our guests enjoyed the performance during our afternoon drinks reception. We picked this band because they can play the range of instruments we expected from a traditional Irish band, including the bodhran and uilleann pipes. They were helpful and friendly, and incorporated all of our requests. We really appreciated their thoughtfulness, for example, we requested solos from the bodhran player for the arrival of the groom.
The best of Irish songs from two excellent singers
Lively, foot-stomping tunes on flute, harmonica, uilleann pipes, banjo etc
We can bring along a caller to organise group dances.
