Izzizi
Izzizi are keen to deliver a great reggae performance to all our audiences and at your venue/event/festival.
Izzizi: a ten/eleven-piece, powerful, partying, UK-based, reggae reviving outfit that deliver a mix of roots influenced 'old school' style reggae with some great up-tempo partying reggae vibes. Formed in 2010, Izzizi are currently performing non-stop two-...hour-plus sets with an increasing repertoire of new songs and revived reggae classics evoking comments like 'Amazing sound', 'Absolutely brilliant' and 'Maximum respect'. Founded upon the love of roots reggae, Izzizi (pronounced It's Easy) take no short-cuts providing all the ingredients of traditional 70's style reggae, thus featuring several male and female lead vocalists and its own brilliant horn section. Combine this with excellent keyboards, guitars, drums and percussion to complete the line-up; along with occasional guests, a little experimentation - the result is a reggae force not to be missed.

Izzizi have recently appeared at a number of festivals including Bristol Harbourside Festival and the huge main stage at Shambala Festival. We have been advised that we are in the line-up for Glastonbury Festival 2013. We have recently spent three weeks at number 1 in the UK South West Urban Charts according to Ujima Radio and have recently been interviewed by the same and Bristol Community Radio. Delroy O’Gilvie of massive roots reggae band Black Roots has shown his appreciation of us by performing with us and booking / promoting us for future events. Troy Ellis, son of the late legendary godfather of rocksteady, Alton Ellis O.D., has demonstrated his appreciation by frequently performing with us. Clinton Fearon (of The Gladiators fame) says of our cover of his song Sleeping Lion: ‘Hey man, honored you choose to play my song. Great job I love it!’.
