Loca Lounge

Band members: Barbara (trumpet), Tom (guitar), Hilary (flute). All three sing, and, when the mood takes them, dance. The band is as happy providing low-key, instrumental ambience as giving the full fiesta experience. For larger rooms, a rhythm section can be added. The band has a growing reputation for connecting well with audiences who, in turn, go home feeling a profound gratitude that they are part of the living cosmos.

I discovered Loca Lounge in the Summer of 2010 and was immediately taken by the warmth, charm and dynamism of their performance. It's not just the playing but the way they handle the audience with an easy, affable and humourous demeanour.  I have known the individual musicians for many years. They are all highly respected in the industry. A group should always be greater than the sum of its parts and Loca Lounge is one such group. This is why we at Jazz Nights have no hesitation in booking them for venues and events and in recommending others to do likewise.
