My Favourite Strings

My Favourite Strings have been performing together for seven years. We cover a huge range of styles, including jazz standards, pop standards, flamenco, classical and anything else the client may desire. all beautifully arranged for cello and guitars.
On cello, the beautiful Kate has a first class honours degree from the Royal Academy of Music, and has performed with the likes of Sir Elton John, Il Divo and Westlife on TV shows including Parkinson, Top of the Pops and X Factor.

Guitarist Andrea was classically trained in Peru, where he grew up and worked with some of the finest flamenco musicians.He also has a great knowledge of pop & jazz standards too...

Guitarist Mike is married to Kate and they have together performed hundreds of concerts and functions. When we add Andrea into the mix ,the trio is perfect for your background lunch or drinks reception!!

Line-up

Kate - cello; Andrea - guitar; Mike - guitar. Available as a trio, or a duo in any combination. Best as a trio.

Extra Line-up(s)

We have access to female vocalists, extra string players, keyboards and percussion (all subject to availability).

Also included

We have our own PA - 200 watt Sennheiser PA.
Lights hired-in if needed.

Location

South East based and will travel to these areas: South East, South West.

"My Favourite Strings" were fantastic at our wedding. They played during our ceremony and also reception. They could do the classical stuff where needed, and then were more than happy to do a more modern selection after the ceremony. They were perfect for our day as we thought violins, harps etc would be too formal, and wanted something a bit more "fun." They also did specific songs that we requested in advance, and the guests loved them. They would be perfect for any event, and couldn't recommend them enough. If you are unsure ask them for a demo, they did a little montage demo for us that was great! :) Thank you guys!!

I listned to My Favourite Strings pop medley on the website aeend I loved it so I booked them for my wife's birthday do. Mike was so helpful! He made sure the group knew all our favourite songs and they were perfect for the relaxing background music at dinner. Will book them again!!

My Favourite Strings played at our wedding and our 'Garden Party' reception. They were wonderful! From the first phone call when we discussed a playlist I had every confidence in them and the pieces they chose were just perfect. They created a chilled and relaxed atmosphere and our guests loved them too!
