One Night Standeoke

Born in the USA live band karaoke or Bandaoke has become an entertainment phenomenon that has taken One Night Standeoke on a voyage from the hottest live music venues in London all the way to Cyprus, Kosovo and beyond.

The journey began with a Saturday night residency in London's prestigious Camden Barfly. Taking to the stage after the audience had already seen four bands, they quickly learned how to entertain and interact with a varied crowd, ensuring everyone who took the stage left feeling like superstars.

With their stint at the Barfly a major success they teamed up with the UK's most renowned entertainment agency Live Music Management. One Night Standeoke soon had three weekly residencies across the country in The Walkabout. Now, having played well over 800 shows and with a staggering repertoire on their play-list, they have the experience and ability to tailor a show to suit any occasion whether it be a wedding, corporate event or live music venue. They've even been the Bandaoke band of choice for Combined Services Entertainment who employ One Night Standeoke to entertain the UN peacekeeping forces on their tour of duty!

One Night Standeoke featured recently on the ultra hip "Rock N Roll Brides" blog where they recieved a glowing review. They have also featured in many magazines (including Q and Kerrang) and at a wide number of TV and media events.

With an ever-growing status and buzz about them, One Night Standeoke have been joined on stage by Max Rafferty from The Kooks who did a storming rendition of his own song Naive. With celebrities such as Suggs, James Nesbit and Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs joining in the fun, Bandaoke is definitely here to stay!

A member of One Night Standeoke has recently been awarded the Afghanistan Medal by the Armed Forces for completing the required tours of duty in Afghanistan entertaining the troops.This award was presented in July 2012 by the most senior member of HM Forces, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Sir David Richards.

Bauer media have booked One Night Standeoke for their events on several occasions and the band have featured in Q Magazine as well as other print media.

One Night Standeoke offer a hi tech live karaoke band evening with the words available on screens for singers to read. These are controlled by the guitarist and scroll down in time with the song offering a better solution than reading the words off sheets of paper.

In November 2014 One Night Standeoke were chosen to play at the Never Mind The Buzzcocks wrap party. A representative from Talkback TV sent a very flattering review of the band through after the event and suggested she would be recommending One Night Standeoke for other wrap parties. In 2015 the band were booked for the Virtually Famous Wrap party and others.
In 2017 the band played a record number of weddings and parties with a packed schedule. They also became one of the house Rockaoke bands at the fabulous The Roadhouse in Covent Garden.
Memorable gigs in 2017 included a hen party booking in a remote country cottage and stag night in a London apartment where the groom had no idea he was to be Freddie Mercury for the night until his blind fold came off and the band began playing We Will Rock You!

I booked One Night Standeoke for my 50th birthday party at my home, the party took place last night. They were exceptional, absolutely did me proud and made it a night that I will remember for the rest of my life.

The guys are superb musicians, and also lovely guys, very easy to work with, flexible and focused on making the event as much fun as possible for the guests. The space in our home is no doubt smaller than their normal event space, but they worked around it and put on a magnificent show. They were happy for me to plug in my guitar and play an unlisted song at the end, and they jammed with me to make my shoddy musicianship sound great.

All of my friends have been raving about how great they were. I'm looking forward to one of them booking the guys so I get the chance to sing with them again.

This is my second time booking One Night Standoke and they have not disappointed again! They are so good at engaging with the crowd and putting on a great show all the while being great fun to have around.

This year we asked them perform their material themselves for a small section of the event, they were amazing. It was a really sunny day and we had all the doors to the venue open and gave a great atmosphere inside and outside. They also sounds amazing.

The second part of their performance was the bandeoke, which the audience loved. The band are so good at helping the singers with the performance, giving them the right cues and helping them keep their place, which is particularly useful when someone gets a bit too into the chorus, looses their place and needs help knowing where they are in the lyrics.

Everyone was thrilled with the band, their performance and the bandeoke, even if some of our singers were not on par with the band, we had a lot of fun!

Will definitely be booking again!

The guys were on time, polite and professional and played 2 brilliant sets. Lots of friends and family got involved and they did a great job balancing all the requests. We would thoroughly recommend 1 night standeoke! We booked them for my 30th birthday & everyone had a great time! Their playlist is so extensive there really is somethine for everyone. There are even more up-to-date tracks not shown on this page as well as the great tunes & classics. They are a great band & play exceptionally well. The venue (Clerkenwell House) was also great for that kind of party and free (min spend only) so I'd recommend it to anyone else booking a bandeoke band and looking for a funky venue for about 60ish people.

We started fairly late as there was tube and rail closures I wasn't aware of before the night and Farringdon station was closed so people arrived much later than anticipated. so we did 2 sets of 60 minutes in the end. I think they might get a gig in germany next year as my friend is really keen to get them over for her party in Hamburg.
Alastair and Dominique, the pub owners are also thinking of putting nights like this on more often.
