Status Cymbal String Quartet
STATUS CYMBAL is the String Quartet with a difference. Formed in 1988 from string principals of the Scarborough Spa Orchestra, it plays, as well the works of the great composers for the medium, its own unique library of sparkling and witty arrangements of all kinds of popular music, from Opera through Swing and Jazz to the great Musicals, Pop hits and Rock classics. The idea of this most traditional classical line-up playing familiar modern tunes intrigues and delights audiences of all ages and walks of life. As a result, the schedule now embraces concerts, all kinds of function both corporate and private, together with entertaining in hotels and restaurants and on board cruise liners. TV and radio credits include the BBC Radio 2 Arts Programme and Central Television's Pot of Gold, the peak time network ITV show hosted by Des O'Connor.
The number of weddings at which we have performed has now reached the 1.350 mark and this year included ceremonies for a member of the England football team and a post-wedding reception for a descendant of the last Tsar of Russia.
Our appearances at prestigious sporting venues continued, with a function for the Welsh Rugby Union team at Twickenham, performances at several prominent racecourses including the July meeting at Newmarket; where we were filmed by the Channel 4 live racing team.

Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets.

Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.
Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 6pm and to be finished around midnight.
