Swingshot

Featuring the stunning vocals of Karen Lake, backed by four horns and a first-class rhythm section, the Swing Shots are an exciting young 8-piece swing band hailing from the Steel City of Sheffield. Jump, jive and lindy-hop your way through their energetic set of classic songs such as Too Darn Hot, Mr. Zoot Suit and Cheek to Cheek.

Formed by singer Karen Lake and pianist and musical director Nick Fletcher in 2007, The Swing Shots bring together 8 up-and-coming young jazz stars from the Sheffield scene. Inspired by classic big band recordings by Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra, through to modern swing hits by Michael Buble and Paul Anka, the band's fresh new sound is guranteed to add glamour and excitement to every event.

Quality PA system from 500W for small hall to 3kW for large hall or outdoors. Pole mounted stage lighting system creating a colour wash using stage spotlights.
