The Valentinos
The Valentinos are a group of friends and family who formed in the summer of 1997 whilst at school in Bristol. Founding member and lead guitarist Steve Davies recruited school friend Chris Needs to play drums. Next to join was Steve's Cousin Dean Oliver for lead vocals, and Dean brought along his friend Dan Wilde for rhythm guitar. Last to join was Steve's brother Lee Davies to play bass.
The Valentinos started by writing their own original music and recorded and performed across the South West. They supported a number of signed artists including Neville Staple of The Specials and Little Man Tate, and a growing reputation allowed the band to perform at some of the biggest venues in Bristol on a regular basis. As they got older careers and families meant that the dream of getting signed could not be realised. However after getting asked to play at weddings and partys the band began to build up a set of cover versions. This signalled a change in direction for the band and using their own unique sound, they began playing cover versions full time and this has enabled them to perform to a much wider and varied audience and they have not looked back.
The Valentinos set not includes a unique selection of classic cover versions from the last 5 decades including The Beatles, The Who, Cream, The Small Faces, Pink Floyd, The Jam, Oasis, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, The Enemy and Snow Patrol.
The Valentinos play primarily in the Bristol area and will add travel costs to any shows outside the area.
