The Zydeco Ramblers
With a sound located somewhere between the deep south and South Wales, The Zydeco Ramblers play the rootsiest honky-tonk, zydeco, folk, jazz and R&B in London. They like nothing better than to play foot-stompin' tunes that you can dance the Texas polka to.
The Zydeco Ramblers regularly delight audiences of all ages with their superb musicianship. With a flexible line-up, they sound great as a duo, trio or quartet. The regular line up includes musicians who have worked alongside stars such as Van Morrison, Paul McCartney, Jeff Beck, Bob Geldof, Nick Lowe, Loudon Wainright III, The Penguin Cafe Orchestra and Richard Thompson.
The Zydeco Ramblers' large repertoire means that the band can turn their hand to many types of event. The band often play amplified but can also perform unplugged if needs be. If you're looking for a quartet to play rollicking 50s R&B and rock 'n' roll to get the room up and dancing then you've come to the right place. Equally, if you're looking for a duo or trio to provide a completely instrumental set of vintage jazz then The Zydeco Ramblers fit the bill perfectly.

The full line up is a four-piece band (guitar and voice, double bass, fiddle and accordion).

The band were absolutely wonderful at our wedding, everybody commented how great they were - a wonderful mood was set and lots of dancing entailed! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

"David and the band were brilliant. The booking process was fine and communications beforehand were simple and effective with the minimum of fuss. The band turned up exactly as planned on the day and although we kept them waiting because we were running behind, they accepted it all in good humour and waited patiently to start. Our guests were full of praise for them and loved their originality and musicianship. I just wish that it hadn't been quite so warm in the venue that evening and a few more people had danced along." (Chris Pierce, Wedding, Hampshire)
"The Zydeco Ramblers were fantastic! We danced all night and had the best time. All our guests really enjoyed the atmosphere they helped to create. The booking process was very simple. The band phoned me three weeks before the wedding to discuss requirements and this lead to a more relaxed event on the night. Superb!" (Lizzie Charlton, Wedding, Northamptonshire)
"We just wanted to say thank you to you and to the rest of the band for the most fantastic two sets at our wedding. Friends and family are still asking us about you all and saying it's the best band they've heard at a wedding. We were delighted with all the songs that you chose and especially grateful to you for playing 'Tonight I'll be Staying Here with You'. The accordion sounded great in that song! You judged the mood of the evening perfectly and the music moved along beautifully in response to this. I think it was a real highlight of the day for us and all of our guests, especially the children who loved seeing you all playing your instruments." (Heather Saunders, Wedding, Oxfordshire)

"This is a really late thank you, but we absolutely loved you guys and were so chuffed with your set. So many of our friends and family commented on how much they enjoyed your band, and it really brought the whole atmosphere of the day together. We were dancing on the beach as your tunes drifted down the coast. We were thrilled when you played an extra round of songs." (Elizabeth Pennington, Wedding, Devon)

I was very impressed by your professionalism - you dressed the part, set up quickly and efficiently, and made sure that the whole day was stress free." (Angela Devichand, Wedding, Gwent)
