The Beans

An exceptional, high-energy party band with male and female lead vocals, beautiful harmonies and the ability to play almost anything; Da Beanz will have you dancing from the very first song to the last encore with stunning musicianship and stage presence. Da Beanz will entertain and involve you in what can only be described as the ultimate party experience. Da Beanz performers use wireless equipment so are free to roam and get in with the action!

Top quality PA and lighting ensure a trouble-free evening.

Your Event
The choice of music is yours, an extensive song list to choose from including classics from the last 50 years and current chart material, and furthermore if your special song is not on the list, Da Beanz will learn it for you!

You can have a complete mix of styles so there's something for the youngsters as well as the oldies or if you prefer you can have the "Decades Show", where you get whole set of 60's 70's, 80's 90's or more current chart hits in full costume!
Ideal for a school disco type event as well as 70's or other themed nights.

Da Beanz are well suited to all types of event, having played for national companies, universities, charities, schools, weddings, clubs and pubs. Da Beanz are just as comfortable playing in front of huge audiences as small intimate ones.

Da Beanz can provide a range of services from 2 x 45 minute sets to a full 3 hours of music. They can also provide you with a DJ, canned music, and full light show with lasers and effects machines.

Versatile, professional and full of energy, the guys have a great sound, fantastic vocal harmonies and always provide exactly what is need to make the event a success.


Lead vocals: Jess
Jess has been working professionally as a session singer, performer-entertainer since the age of 15. She's sung with various function and party bands as well as working on many projects with signed artists.
Jess also teaches singing and dance at a prominent theatre school as well as working with younger and disadvantaged children.
Jess is a energetic performer with a very powerful voice and beautiful backing harmonies which complement Rik and Nick's voices perfectly.

Band Leader and Bass: Ash
Ashley has been playing bass since his teens. He studied at the London College of Music and has since worked extensively as a bass player with original and cover bands and as a dep he has performed on programs such as channel 4's TFI Friday. Ash has also performed in the pit and on stage in musicals and played the dentist in The Little Shop Of Horrors. He has also been in panto and toured with a theatre company as a principal player.

Guitar/ Lead Vocals: Nick
Amongst other things, Nick has been a radio DJ, a karaoke presenter and a mortgage advisor, until joining Da Beanz in 2005. Nick returned to college aged 21 to study music at Bournemouth and Poole College. After studying a National Diploma in Music Practice, he went on to complete an HND in Music Practice and started working at the college's Knighton Heath Music Centre as a technician he worked with many local bands, engineering and producing demos, guesting and composing for many projects. Nick has played with artists as diverse as Paul Carrack of Mike and the Mechanics, as well as Chris Manning, runner up in the first series of Fame Academy.

Drums: Jack
Jack is the youngest member of Da Beanz. He has been receiving drum lessons from the age of 15, although he started hitting drums when he was 7. He has been performing in front of audiences for the past 4 years and has gained experience playing with many different bands.
Jack has completed a BTEC National Diploma in Music Practice and now works at Abbey Road as a technician

Wedding September 2008

Dear Ash and the Da Beanz,

Thank you all VERY much for being such a fantastic band at our wedding on 13th September. Over the last few years, Phil and I have been guests at many other people's weddings and have come across a fair few bands but you guys were by far the best band we've heard at one and so we were thrilled that it was at our very own wedding that you were playing! Your set was perfect and kept the dance floor busy all night (with the young and the old alike!) and you really made the atmosphere fun and lively. Many people came up to me and told me how great they thought your music and voices were. We really enjoyed ourselves and what was especially nice was that you all looked like you were having a good time too (we hope so at least!)
We will definitely recommend you to our friends.
Please pass on our appreciation and gratitude to all your bandmates for helping make our day so memorable.

Charity Bash September 2008

Just like to say what a brilliant show you put on for us on Friday night. We were most impressed with the quality of your performance and the vast range of songs you performed. The sound and lighting rigs were of the best around and did justice to the performers.With your help we have raised in excess of £1500 for charity and had a great evening in the process.

We will not hesitate to recommend the Da Beanz for any party, wedding, charity bash or just an excuse to have a great night. Forget X factor this is the real thing.

Wedding August 2008

Hi Ash and everyone,

Just a very quick note to thank you all for playing at our wedding on 16th August. Everyone commented how good you were and where we found you. We were dancing like mentalists all night! We honestly couldnt have found a better band for the day, you really sounded ridiculously good and were really friendly and helpful especially with the mic for speeches etc.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for playing at our party. We really hope to get the chance to see you again when we return. Even a week later everyone is still talking about you.

For anyone thinking of booking this band - DO IT - they are absolutely incredible!

Everything went smoothly from the booking, to the event itself and I was really happy with the service you personally provided.

In terms of the band themselves I can not speak highly enough of their ability and talent. The chemistry between the band members was terrific, the instruments and singing top notch, the lights they provided impressed the young boys to bits and the sound was crystal clear, in fact better than many top end artists I have paid to see. Also Ash, the band leader was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish in terms of organising the set-lists and payment etc. Every day since the event friends have commented on how good they were. I really enjoy my music and I was so impressed I find it hard to say how good they were.

I would not hesitate for a moment to recommended the Da Beanz to anyone looking for a really good entertaining covers band. In fact I'm already hoping they are still around in their current guise when I return from Dubai in two years for the welcome home party!

Dear Ash + the other Da Beanz

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to write this email, Paul and I just wanted to say thank you for being so fantastic on the 7th June at Chartridge. We had such a fantastic day, you sounded fantastic and everyone loved the music. You managed to keep the dance floor full all night and all our guests said how great you were.
We will try to come to your gig on the 24th October in Berkhamsted as probably back in Bucks that weekend, it will be great to hear you play again!

Dear Ash,
I just wanted to email to thankyou for your fabulous performance at our wedding at The Dairy on the 10th May.
You were a huge hit with our guests and everyone raved about how good and how much fun you were -especially joining in the limbo!
