VaBOOM

Dean and Catherine met in 1995 and began their working career together in the band Sovereign, performing on Cruise ships working for P&O. After many months cruising the high seas, they formed a duo and became known as Take 2. Performing all over Great Britain and Europe for 15 years, they became known as one of the country's top award winning duos.

Their clients included; P&O Cruises, Pontins, Haven, British Holidays, Grosvenor Casinos, Military bases in Germany and U.K, various cabaret and corporate venues throughout the UK and Europe. In October 2009 Take 2 decided to take a short break.

They have now returned and re-launched their new show and are now called VaBOOM. This exciting show has music ranging from Disco to current chart music. Their amazing talented vocals and harmonies remain, along with a new spectacular light show.

Dean
Dean started in the music industry in a family showband singing and playing guitar, age just 12. They became a multi award winning show group, working all top cabaret venues throughout the U.K. They then became popular on the modern country music circuit, performing on many festivals, by this time Dean had progressed onto bass guitar and amazingly became the youngest pedal steel guitar player in the country and was awarded with fantastic reviews in Country Music Roundup and many other magazines. In 2002, Dean was given the opportunity to become a Band Leader for DFDS Seaways and then ran 5 piece Show bands for P&O Cruises in the winter months and summer seasons for Haven Holidays. When he was looking for a new talented female vocalist to join his band for P&O, he auditioned Catherine; this led to a very successful partnership, which is still going strong to this very day.

Catherine (Cat)
As a solo artist, Catherine has performed in various venues across the U.K winning many talent shows and competitions. She earned a leading role in the stage musical 'Oklahoma'. From this she went on to get a recording contract with an independent record label co-writing & producing her own album and performing many live PA's for radio stations, festivals and nightclubs. Wanting to try something new, Cat decided to audition for cruise ships and this is where she met Dean who was looking for a female vocalist to join his band Sovereign.
