What To Look For When Booking A Party DJ

Not all DJs are created equal and Live Music Management have the advantage of holding regular party DJ auditions throughout the UK where we select the very best party DJs to be included on our roster. A quality party DJ should be great on the microphone, able to make announcements and shout outs and create the party. They should not constantly talk over tracks but use the microphone to motivate the crowd. A good party DJ will work within a clients brief in order to play the music which will work with the crowd in attendance. The DJs taste in music will be secondary to the requests from the audience and party organiser. They will carry a huge selection of music and be able to change things (within reason) on the night should the organiser have ammendments to the brief.

What Equipment Will The Party DJ Bring?

If you need to book a mobile DJ (that is the venue you are holding the party in does not have DJ equipment) then Live Music Management party DJs will bring a PA system and dance floor lighting rig along with all music etc. Usually this equipment is suitable for parties of up to one hundred and fifty people. If your party is larger than this or takes place in a very large room then please advise Live Music Management at the time of enquiry and we can ensure that suitable equipmemt is available with the DJ. All Live Music Management party DJs have appropriate public liability insurance and PAT certificates are available upon request. Extra lighting and PA equipment can be hired seperately. The DJs equipment can be used for speeches etc if required.
